MANAGING PARTNER

David is an American entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience working in Asia. Before founding Paragon Partners Asia, he co-founded and served as CEO for an international digital media firm headquartered in Shanghai, which was sold in a trade-sale in 2011. David continues to serve on the board of that firm, as well as other several other technology-related firms in China. David graduated with a B.A. in Global Studies form the University of California Santa Barbara, and attended graduate studies at National Taiwan University. He is fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and is an avid surfer and snowboarder.

Brennen McConnell has spent 10 years living and working in Asia.  Prior to joining Paragon Partners Asia, Brennen worked at a boutique American investment bank where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s China business operations and fundraising efforts. He received his B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Denison University in Ohio and is a FINRA Series 79 licensed investment representative. Brennen studied at both Beijing Foreign Studies University and Shanghai International Studies University and is fluent in spoken and written Mandarin.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR AND GENERAL COUNSEL

Patrick is responsible for sourcing foreign investment opportunities for Chinese investors and assisting with legal issues related to cross-border investment transactions. Prior to joining Paragon Partners Asia, Patrick was a corporate attorney at the Seattle office of K&L Gates, and served as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA). Patrick received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law and was a member of the executive board of the Washington Law Review. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Washington. Patrick is conversational in spoken and written Mandarin.
